Rev. Linda Finley

1) Please share a powerful insight you have gained from the Science of Mind teaching.

There are so many to consider, but what speaks to me the loudest - from the beginning - is that the power we are seeking is already within us. There is nothing we need to "do" to get it, other than to wake up to the fact that it is already within us to do what we choose, to be who we choose. I spent so many years of my life looking outside myself for what I needed, only to finally realize that, like Dorothy, I had the power all along (and it wasn't red shoes!!!)

2) What is a fun fact about you?

Though a native Californian, I spent the first six years of my life and every summer until I turned 18 on a farm in Nebraska surrounded by lots of family, and learning to gather eggs, move irrigation pipe, shuck corn, and live with nature.

3) What are your interests or hobbies?

I love learning new things... reading - often four or five books at a time. I love to cook from scratch, and to prepare meals for others. It is a joy for me to make a big pot of soup and then put it in jars to share with friends.
